Terms of Service

These Terms describe the current product and its use.

1. Introduction

Ursora is an iOS platform for discovering, creating, and coordinating outdoor Activities, including user-to-user ride coordination where applicable. These Terms describe the current product and its use.

Ursora is operated by an individual developer (the “Operator”). Once Ursora is distributed through the Apple App Store, the Operator is identified by the seller name shown on Ursora’s App Store product page.

2. Eligibility

Ursora is intended for adults age 18 or older. You should not use Ursora if you are under 18. Ursora does not collect date of birth and does not independently verify age or identity.

3. Accounts

Public Activities may be browsed without signing in. An account is required to publish an Activity, apply, offer to drive, use Activity chat, or take other relationship actions.

Provide accurate account information, protect your credentials, and do not impersonate another person or misuse another user's account. You are responsible for activity under your account, subject to applicable law.

4. Ursora's Role

Ursora is a platform that helps users discover Activities, organize Activities, coordinate participation, and coordinate ride arrangements where applicable. Ursora is not a transportation carrier, taxi, TNC or rideshare operator, driver employer, tour operator, travel agency, payment processor, or insurer.

Ursora does not employ drivers, guarantee transportation, inspect, license, insure, certify, or continuously monitor users, drivers, vehicles, Activities, destinations, or equipment.

5. Activities and Participation

Organizers may create Public or Link-only Activities. Users may apply to participate, and organizers approve or reject participation where applicable. Participation is not guaranteed; capacity and other product eligibility rules may apply.

Organizers may edit or cancel Activities. Participants may withdraw or leave where product rules allow. Activity information may change, so review the current details before deciding whether to participate.

6. Transportation and Ride Coordination

In Car Offering Activities, a user may voluntarily offer transportation. In Ride Seeking Activities, users may seek another user willing to drive. In Travel Separately Activities, users make their own transportation arrangements. Users may coordinate meeting or pickup details through the service.

Drivers and passengers are responsible for their own decisions and for complying with applicable laws, including any licensing, insurance, vehicle, and safety requirements. Ursora does not guarantee that a ride will be available or suitable.

7. Costs and Payments

Ursora does not process payments or hold user funds. Any cost-sharing estimate is informational only. If users agree to share costs, they handle that arrangement directly with each other and outside Ursora. Ursora is not responsible for collecting, holding, or distributing those amounts.

8. User Content and Conduct

You are responsible for content you submit, including Profile, Activity, application, chat, and coordination information. Do not submit content or use Ursora in a way that is unlawful, abusive, fraudulent or misleading, dangerous or exploitative, or inconsistent with Ursora's safety and community rules.

9. Reports, Blocks, Filtering, and Safety Review

Users may Report users, Activities, or chat messages where available and may Block other users. Blocking may limit future discovery and new interactions where applicable, but does not automatically cancel a shared Activity or delete its history.

Ursora may use limited automated rules to reject certain clearly prohibited text before it is stored. This filtering is not comprehensive and may not identify every problem. Ursora may manually review Reports and relevant content with access limited to what is reasonably necessary.

Where operationally available, Ursora may reject or remove violating content, restrict clearly abusive use through available administrative controls, preserve limited evidence needed for safety review, and cooperate with authorities when legally required. Ursora does not provide automated suspension, a formal appeals system, or continuous safety monitoring.

10. Outdoor and Activity Risks

Outdoor Activities and travel can involve weather, terrain, physical exertion, equipment, transportation, and the actions of other users. You are responsible for evaluating your own readiness, equipment, transportation choices, and circumstances before participating.

Ursora is not an emergency service. For immediate danger or an emergency, contact appropriate local emergency services rather than relying on Ursora reporting or chat.

11. Changes, Cancellations, and Activity Outcomes

Activities may be changed, cancelled, completed, or not occur. Ursora does not guarantee that an Activity, participant, driver, destination, cost estimate, or arrangement will remain available or unchanged.

12. Account Deletion

You may initiate account deletion in the app. Deletion is handled according to Ursora's product lifecycle and Privacy Policy. Some limited historical or service-integrity records may remain where permitted and needed for surviving participants or the service. Account deletion does not erase other users' independent content or records.

13. Privacy

Ursora's handling of personal information is described in the Privacy Policy.

14. Service Availability and Changes

Ursora may update, change, suspend, or discontinue features over time. We do not promise uninterrupted availability.

15. Intellectual Property and User Content

Ursora's app, software, and branding remain Ursora's or its licensors' property. You retain rights in content you submit. To operate the service, you grant Ursora a limited, non-exclusive right to host, process, display, share as you request, moderate, and otherwise use that content only as reasonably necessary to provide and protect the service, subject to the Privacy Policy and applicable retention practices.

16. Apple App Store license and additional terms

Where applicable, Apple’s Standard End User License Agreement governs the license to and use of the App. These Ursora Terms supplement that agreement with Ursora-specific rules for the service, Activities, participation, user conduct, and related features. Nothing in these Terms is intended to override applicable mandatory Apple platform terms.

16.1 Governing law

California law governs these Terms to the extent permitted by law, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Mandatory consumer protections or rights that cannot legally be waived remain unaffected.

16.2 Informal dispute resolution

Before filing a legal claim, you and the Operator should make a reasonable, good-faith effort to resolve the issue informally through support@ursora.app. If the matter cannot be resolved informally, either party may pursue available remedies in a court of competent jurisdiction, subject to applicable law.

16.3 Warranty and liability

To the extent permitted by law, the Ursora service is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. Ursora does not guarantee Activity availability, safety, participants, drivers, transportation, destinations, equipment, uninterrupted operation, or error-free operation. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits rights or liability that cannot legally be excluded or limited. Where Apple’s Standard EULA applies to the App license, its warranty and liability provisions remain applicable.
